Awards Presented at AGM

The Annual General Meeting of Downtown Fredericton Inc. was held on Wednesday, May 25 at the Crowne Plaza Lord Beaverbrook Hotel.

The Façade Improvement and Mazzuca Awards were presented at the meeting.

The Mazzuca Award is given out to a downtown business, business owner or individual in honour of their contributrion and commitment to the character and spirit of downtown Fredericton and our community.

This year’s recipient of the Mazzuca Award is Tom Hoyt of the New Brunswick Country Showcase. Tom has recently stepped down from producing the Showcase… a job he’s been doing for 25 years! The New Brunswick Country Showcase is well loved in Fredericton and Tom has worked hard over the years to bring musicians to the stage, find support for the show and provide entertainment to the community.

The Façade Improvement Award was presented to Considerate Property Management for the recent upgrades they have made to the Town Centre at 412 Queen Street.
