Downtown Fredericton Inc. (DFI) is a non-profit Business Improvement Area (BIA)
organization dedicated to promoting, supporting, and advocating for downtown businesses
and fostering a vibrant community. Our vision is to achieve recognition as one of the
nation’s best downtowns!

The Role
The Clean Community Ambassador plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, vibrant, and
safe downtown business district. This position includes various responsibilities such as
proactive cleanliness e orts, maintenance, assisting with event setup, and supporting
marketing activities. The ambassador takes proactive measures to address debris and
hazards while remaining adaptable and community minded. This position is ideal for a
committed individual eager to contribute to the continuous enhancement and promotion
of downtown Fredericton.


Responsibilities
As the Clean Community Ambassador, you will be expected to:

  • Provide support in proactively maintaining a clean, vibrant, and safe downtown
    business district,
  • Take corrective action to remove gra iti, refuse and debris from the BIA
  • Support the installation of banners, flyers, and other marketing & promotional
    material,
  • Assist in the execution and set-up of events, festivals, and other related activities
  • Other duties as may be assigned by management.

    DFI is proud to o er an engaging, welcoming, and fun work environment that is laser
    focused on the advancement and enhancement of our downtown community.
  • Employment period: June 23rd to August 29th, 2025. Start date is somewhat flexible.
  • Hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm. 1 (unpaid) hour for lunch. 25 to 30 hours per week.
    Monday to Friday. Weekends and some evening work will be required.
  • Wages: $16.50 per hour.
