Featuring the Legislature and Mayor’s Tree lightings and enchanting downtown activations to get you in the holiday spirit! Downtown Fredericton shops will be open until 9:00pm.

Fredericton Legislature Tree Lighting
Location: Legislative Assembly building
Time: 6:00-7:00pm

Kids Holiday Crafts with the Multicultural Association of Fredericton Inc (MCAF)
Location: Fredericton Convention Centre
Time: 5:30-7:00pm

Join the Multicultural Association of Fredericton Inc (MCAF) for some fun holiday-themed kids crafts on the main level of the Fredericton Convention Centre from 5:30-7:00pm. Take part in two fun-filled crafts. Explore your creativity through holiday ornament decoration. Participants can select their ornaments and personalize them using a variety of colors, textures, and designs. Guided by a facilitator, everyone is encouraged to experiment and enjoy hands-on crafting to create unique holiday keepsakes. Next, get into the holiday spirit with a fun and easy Christmas tree craft! Perfect for kids and adults alike, this activity lets you design your own festive trees using colorful cupcake liners. Enjoy a creative, hands-on experience as you stack, layer, and decorate your unique Christmas tree, adding a pop of color and cheer to your holiday season!

Fredericton Mayor’s Tree Lighting
Location: Outside of City Hall
Time: 7:30pm

Join Mayor Kate Rogers and Santa for the Mayor’s Tree Lighting, featuring live entertainment from Fredericton favourites! A parade will take place from the Legislature to City Hall, with the Mayor and Santa for the tree lighting. Bring the whole family to get into the holiday season and enjoy free hot chocolate and hot apple cider, compliments of Ignite Fredericton, and take your photos with some beloved holiday characters.

Free Gingerbread Cookie Decorating
Location: Gallery 78
Time: 7:00-9:00pm

Visit Gallery 78 for a free gingerbread cookie decorating workshop. Featuring delicious gingerbread cookies from Mill Town, this is sure to be fun for the whole family!

Free Holiday Ornament Painting
Location: Clay Café
Time: 7:00-9:00pm

Stop into Clay Café during your downtown stroll to paint a holiday ornament. Let your creative juices flow while creating an ornament to put on your 2024 Christmas tree! *Limited supplies and seating

Pop-Up Tree Lot
Time: 6:00-9:00pm
Location: Barracks Square

Pat and Mike Trim the Tree with Yuletide Songs

Location: The Cap Patio

Pat Flanagan and Mike Bravener, two well-known local crooners, will treat all ages to an outdoor Christmas warm-up and tree trimming on the patio at The Cap.
