Downtown Spectacular!

Celebrate the magic of the holidays in Downtown Fredericton Friday on December 1 from 5:30-9:30pm.
Featuring the Legislature and Mayor’s Tree lightings and enchanting downtown activations to get you in
the holiday spirit! Downtown Fredericton shops will be open until 9:30pm.
Downtown holiday activations include:
New Brunswick Provincial Legislature Tree Lighting
Location: Legislative Assembly building
Time: 6:00-7:00pm
Santa’s Workshop with Enrich Kids
Location: Fredericton Convention Centre
Time: 5:30-7:00pm
Join Enrich Kids for Santa’s Workshop craft station, glow in the dark buffet and Santa letter writing from
5:30-7:00pm at the Fredericton Convention Centre. Kids can make a tree craft to take home, write their
letter to Santa and get decked out in glow in the dark accessories for the tree lighting events.
City of Fredericton Mayor’s Tree Lighting
Location: Phoenix Square in front of City Hall
Time: 7:30pm
Join Mayor Kate Rogers and Santa for the Mayor’s Tree Lighting, featuring Fredericton’s own Tony
LePage and Fire In Hand! A parade will take place from the Legislature to City Hall for the tree lighting. Tony LePage and Fire In Hand will kick-off a spectacular evening downtown immediately following the tree lighting. Bring the whole family to get into the holiday season and enjoy free hot chocolate and hot apple cider, compliments of Ignite, and take your photos with beloved holiday characters.
Free Gingerbread Cookie Decorating

Free Holiday Ornament Painting

flow while creating an ornament to put on your 2024 Christmas tree!
