Ice Sculpture Showcase

Bundle up and come for a stroll through Fredericton’s Downtown to see amazing Ice Sculptures created by Chef Richard Chiasson of Ice Creations Glace.
Once again M. Chiasson has put his ice sculpting talents to use, working with downtown businesses to bring their ideas to life with his picks, chisels, and chainsaw!
The showcase includes 10 sculptures which will remain on display for as long as the weather cooperates at the following locations (see map for more info):
- Tim Hortons
- Assante Wealth Management
- Science East
- The Royal Barbershop
- Sequoia Fredericton
- Savage’s Bicycle Shop
- The Radical Edge
- Smile Science
- Luna Pizza and Jack’s Pizza
- King West Brewing & RustiCo.
A special note about the Ice Sculpture at Assante Wealth Management: “Assante is excited to be partnering with the 2022 East Coast Music awards which take place May 4-8 in Fredericton. As a sponsor of the ECMA Aficionado Program we thought it would be fun to go with a musical note theme for this year’s Ice Sculpture.”
Chiasson is a Chef instructor at the Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (Péninsule acadienne) and has been creating ice sculptures across North America since 1980. His company Ice Creation Glace is the only Atlantic Canadian company to make special ice for carving and he offers courses for chefs and artists wanting to learn the art of ice carving.
