Attention Event Organizers!

Are you planning a festival or event in Fredericton’s vibrant downtown? Downtown Fredericton Inc. (DFI) is now accepting applications for its 2025 Festival & Events Grant program! This funding opportunity supports events that highlight our downtown as the city’s cultural and commercial hub, fostering community engagement, boosting tourism, and driving economic activity.

Should You Apply?

We’re looking to fund events that:

  • Deliver a unique downtown experience.
  • Celebrate culture, heritage, or live entertainment.
  • Support downtown businesses and contribute to the local economy.

Who Can Apply?

Organizations must meet the following criteria:

  • Events must take place within Downtown Fredericton’s BIA boundaries.
  • General liability insurance is required.
  • Events must align with one of DFI’s strategic focus areas: economic development, beautification & activation, public safety, or leadership & organizational excellence.
  • Proposals must include a detailed marketing plan with sponsor recognition tactics.

Benefits of the Program

Successful applicants will receive sponsorship in a mix of cash and Downtown Dollars (usable at downtown businesses), ensuring your event directly supports our local economy.
